Great looking lights.
One hell of a pain in the ass to install.
I had to remove my bumper to get to all the bolts and one hidden clip underneath.
The headlights work great, however don’t listen to the headlight type imprinted on the plastic. Low beams are a H7 and the high beams are a H1. Make sure you get the right globes.
As for the CCFL system, I used the HID ballast location at the bottom to enclose the driver (light trimming with a rotary tool involved). I then wired it with the LED park lights (Take note on the polarity, as mine were backwards and had to switch them) and converted both the Low beam and High beam lights to LED and deleted the auto leveller.
The connectors themselves are bad. the only one that matched the original ones were the Park lights. My IS300 is a 2001, so not sure if they have changed over the years. It is a simple fix to cut both ends and make your own connectors but I wish it was a headache I didn’t have.
All in all, once the long install was over these lights look great. Makes the car look brand new, though it takes away from the OEM look if that’s what you’re going for in your IS. But quite honestly, the performance paired with LED lights speaks for itself.
If you want to give your IS a facelift away from it’s original look, I would highly recommend these lights, just wish the install was easier without having to modify the wiring, housings and plugs. Though in hindsight I am grateful since it gave me a chance to really make this a personalised fit and finish.
